The Audio Pointing to Your Previous Works- Give Podioracket a Copy

Evo recently sent a message to the PB authors via Yahoo suggesting that experienced authors create audio sending listeners to their other completed works.

Since you're already recording this audio, consider providing a copy to contact@podiobooks.com. Rhonda and I are planning a new periodic feature, perhaps entitled Forgotten Finds, where we provide listeners with your quick audio and remind them of all the good stuff already out there on Podiobooks.com.

Of course, we'll continue to interview… Continue

Podioracket Ep 3 Mike McGee, David Smith, & E.G. Talbot

In the latest Podioracket.com podcast Rhonda interviews Mike McGee about his new Podiobooks.com release Theater of the Midnight Sun. David "Grizzly" Smith discusses his experience with public domain works on Podiobooks.com. E.G. Talbot takes a stand on mics. He says that USB mics are a no-no if you're looking to eliminate background noise.

We'd love for someone to come forward with a contrary position. Does anyone own and love their USB mic?

As always,… Continue

Podioracket.com is live!

I'm happy to announce that the project that Rhonda Carpenter and I have been working on is ready to go. Podioracket.com is up and ready to reach out to authors and listeners of Podiobooks.com.

Like it says on the Podioracket.com website:

Podcast novelists and their audience enjoy the intimacy of the medium, but still depend on brief blurbs and book covers to find a match. We make this connection simpler.

Our goal is to provide an inclusive podcast for listeners interested in upcoming Podioboo… Continue

Podiobooks 2.0- The future

On Saturday, February 21, 2009 Evo Terra held a video conference to announce changes to Podiobooks.com that he refers to as Podiobooks 2.0. You can watch the two hour video session Podiobooks 2.0 on UStream.tv. I attended the session and found some of the points very exciting.

The first announcement was that producers can now create specific points within published episodes in order to insert information. For example, I would be able add a ti… Continue

Fractured Horizon is Complete

Fractured Horizon is complete. I'm happy to see an enthusiastic number of people finishing the audio episodes and asking about a sequel.

There is a sequel. I'm 40,000 words into it. I'm not sure when I will complete it, however, because there are other projects I'll be working on as well. I'd like to estimate that I can have it done by the end of the year. With enough nagging, I might even get it done sooner.

I am also considering releasing Fractured Horizon and the sequel in text versions. I… Continue

HI Heather -

heh, hope you'll forgive us for knawing at you with The Donor. It really wasn't unresolved, though. Maybe just open to interpretation about what was reality and what wasn't.

Yes, same Gail. I am going to let a little time pass and then load up the entire book and listen again. clearly I missed a few things - like why Kay's hair was red!

Good reasons. I'm pleased.
I'll miss seeing the episodes in my queue, so I'm glad to hear that more it coming.

Thanks so much for adding my promo. I'll queue yours for an episode of The Magic Sock late this year (I had a good many takers for sharing promos and I'm booked up).

Thanks again!
