Thank you very much, I really like that story, actually. Lots of fun (although probably my darkest story)

Hey Griz, The standard rule of thumb is to have an episode be about 20-40 minutes long. I have heard it said that that is about the average commute to work, where many people listen to their podcasts. That being said, I have seen episodes that hav…

Well, Dollie Llama ThomDaddy have the US Constitution and Amendments ready except for Intro/Outro and Podiobooks.com branding. PG Holyfield has recorded Patrick Henry's speech but not edited it yet and no one else has started so far as I can tell.

Having a consistent feed of documents/episodes for weekly/semi-weekly release has generally been the best way to build a subscriber base for projects with no set end point. To do that we should have 5 episodes just to start but should have at least another 5 episodes in the pipe, ready to go.

So, the short answer is that if you can record this weekend that would be great but don't kill yourself to do it. The project is getting off to a slower start than expected. By all means post anything that you record in your own feeds if it's ready to go before we launch (or even after we launch 8-).

Thanks for responding so promptly!

Hey, Drew, have you had a chance to record the Canadian Charter of Rights yet?

Just trying to keep track of what documents have been recorded and could be ready to publish on Podiobooks.com sometime soon.

Thanks!

A Lost Gods Contest!

So, as you might have noticed by now, I do not have a huge marketing team behind me. In fact, the marketing team consists of me, which is difficult. I could use some help.

I’d love some help spreading the word about Lost Gods, and so, I am having another contest. It’s pretty simple, really. If you help spread the word about Lost Gods, and let me know, you will have the chance to win Lost Gods prizes.

How you can Help

If you have a blog, or a podcast, perhaps you can mention and or link to Los… Continue

I was interviewed by Popsyndicate!

Hey people,

Some time ago Evo Twittered that Popsyndicate was looking for Podiobook authors to feature on their Virtual Sit Down interview type things. I promptly sent off an email expressing my interest, and I am excited to announce that this week I was interviewed! You can check it out here:

Hey, I`m Now in the Third Wave

So, I wrote and recorded a little piece for Mur Lafferty`s Stories from the Third Wave, and this week, my interview is there! It was a pretty fun thing to do, and I had a great time doing it.

If, for some reason you are not listening, well, you should be just on general principle that it is great. If that is`t enough, you can hear my dulcet tones this week!

Check it out here.

The Top 6 Things Dora Can Teach You About Life

This is on my main blog at drewbeatty.com. I had lots of fun writing it, so here is a repost.

My son is a huge fan of Dora the Explorer, and as such I have found myself watching quite a few episodes over the past few years. I have found them to be excellent ways for my son to learn basic concepts,
such as numbers, letters and colours. As I watched, though, I realized
that Dora teaches lessons about much deeper truths. Her philosophy of
life, while not obviously stated, is app

Looking Forward/Looking Back

Just a snippet from my main blog:

For 2008 I have established some priorities for myself professionally.
I hope to finish my second novel. I might even make it a Podiobook, and
give it a big push. I hope to learn more about Social Media, and all of
its repercussions across our lives, and to write write write. On that
note, I’m off to tackle the book. All the best for the new year.
