I'm having the same problem.
Thanks. I'm going to record it again tonight and try to back off some. My voice...I'm usually mumbling and raspy or loud and projecting. I don't seem to use that middle range that most people speak in very much.
The cadence is good, and your tags look okay. It took me a long time to not get too close to the mic, try moving back a bit and see if that helps the sound, although it is not bad and if the story is good, it would not stop me from listening.
Maybe I'm wrong, but it is similar.

It took me a long time to get the Levelator to work without clipping my voice. Don't know if it's me or my mic.
