Nephilim Push -Dark Fantasy / Horror

So my next podiobook will hit on Monday, the 16th. It's a dark fantasy/suspense/horror. I'm reading it myself this time, as my buddy who did such a wonderful job on the first one is away at college. I'm pretty happy with the way it's turning out so far. Alphabetically it should find a spot right below Scott Sigler's Infected book, which I'm happy about. I think we'd all like our books to sit as close to the mighty Sig's as possible. Anyways, I hope folks will give it a chance, just as they have… Continue

Looking for some feedback

Hey guys,
I posted the first episode of my new book, a dark fantasy/horror, over at the mentorship page and was hoping for some feedback. It's the entire episode, so it's big, sorry about that. If anyone would like to have a listen and let me know what you think, it would be very helpful. I'm hoping to nail the sound quality this time.
Thanks,
Brian

Collapse podiobook is done!

Well, that's it. The final episode has been posted. It's been great fun recording, (and some long hours and alot of work, I must say). But, it's been great. This really is a wonderful community of authors and readers here. I absolutely love it. I have more fiction that I'll be recording soon. I hope everyone who has listened will leave me a comment on Collapse, as I look forward to what you have to say. I've learned alot in my first effort here, that's for sure.
Thanks. Brian

As I close in on the end of my book, (only three episodes left to post) I am excited and a bit sad. It's been alot of fun recording and putting everything together. I look forward to what people think after they've gotten to the end. But the feeling of it all being over is very much like when I first wrote the book. I get so involved in the characters and thier lives. It gives me a sad feeling that we are parting ways once again.
Anyone else get depressed at the end of writing or recording a nov… Continue

Hello everyone

Hi. My name is Brian Holtz and I'm pretty new here. I gotta say that I love Podiobooks. It's a great way for authors to get thier stuff out there, and a cool way to get turned on to up and coming books.
My book just went live today, if anyone is interested. It's called Collapse at Hidden Verse Three-Three-Two. You can find it under science fiction. I'm very excited to see what people think.
Anyways, I just wanted to say hello.

Hey Brian, thanks for the update on my dual mic post. I have searched all over the forums for audacity and M-Audio for solutions and it seems that a mixer is the way to go. Can you give me a little more info about your rig? Is your mixer phantom powered (I'd be using condenser mics); right now I have a USB pre amp feeding into the laptop, (do i need to ditch that and just go with a powered mixer?), is your mixer USB and if not, how are your running the input? Any shove/recommendations in the right direction would be wonderful.

I would like to invite you over to Wonderlands. The place is littered with mostly fantasy authors and a bunch of professional artists, but you are more than welcome to join up. We'd really love to see you there.

LOL good to hear the music is worth a stop. Just hope my choices of songs from some of my Favorite Japanese Animation shows don't scare ya off. LOL Thanks for the comment.

Hey Brian, thanks for the comment. Unfortunately I am not an avid reader of NZ Fiction. For some reason I have a slight aversion to things fromNZ, maybe I am attracted to exotic things from far away lands, like the USA :) I think it is more that I do not seek it out, but rather go by interest or recommendation. I am trying out 'Chasing the Bard' though, a podiobook by a kiwi writier. Have just downloaded the first chapter so I will see how it goes.

Hey, Brian, the final ep is waiting for my player to charge. The title is a bit menacing! These are brave characters, they will be OK whatever happens.

Oh no... so jealous... so you're going to WorldCon in August right? Some of my friends are going, but I can't. Ggrggrrr!
If you meet Jeff Carlson or Dani Kollin, tell them you're a friend of Emz and they might sign a book for you or something. Or... they could call security. Never can tell with friends of mine. :)

Oh no... Now we're friends we have to pretend to care about each other's lives... So how's the family? The weather? The book coming along? Hey-- I don't see you on itunes. Have you submitted yet?
