The New Jersey Writers Society looking for panelists for First Annual Writers Conference

A friend of mine is organizing this and I thought some of you authors out there might be interested.
-----------------------------------
My name is Craig Newman and I'm proud to announce that The New Jersey Writers Society is putting together its First Annual Writers Conference. We are excited to be hosting this event and would love to get as many different speakers and backgrounds involved as we can. Our motto for this year is "Writing Better Together." We believe that we all improve when we muster the courage to share our work. Together, we will find the courage to press on. Together, we will defeat writer's block and the discouragement of rejection. Together, we will find the better writers that lie within us all.

This is an all-points bulletin to all potential speakers: We Want You! While we would love to have everyone speak, we do not have the space for it. At last count, we have 10 to 15 1-hour slots still open for workshops and speakers. So, if you have the heart and knowledge to share with your fellow writer, get in touch with Craig Newman as soon as possible (ACraigNewman@NewJerseyWritersSociety.org).

Conference Details:
Date: September 11, 2009 to September 13, 2009
Location: The Clarion Hotel in Egg Harbor Township, NJ
Attendance: We're expecting approximately 200 visitors
Contact: A. Craig Newman

§ Selling the first book

§ Small press publications

§ Self publishing

§ Pitching a book

§ Podcasting

§ Professional organizations

§ The legal side to publishing

§ Breaking into publication

These are only samples of the types of topics we would like to present. If you have alternative topics that you would like to pitch, contact Craig Newman at any time (ACraigNewman@NewJerseyWritersSociety.org).

Compensation:
All presenters (speakers and panel discussion members) will receive free conference tickets and space to sell books and wares at the Conference Bazaar/Bookstore. Should the presenter need any additional special arrangements, other forms of compensation can be negotiated. Contact Craig Newman with any questions (ACraigNewman@NewJerseyWritersSociety.org).

Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope to hear from you soon. Feel free to contact me at any time if you have questions or are interested in participating.
Again, thank you.
-A. Craig Newman
